- Participation in the fourth Summer Festival of the "eco ideas" Factory Biwako
-
On August 10 (Wed), the Summer Festival of the "eco ideas" Factory Biwako was held in the Eco Fureai Field located in the premises of Panasonic Home Appliances Company. Panasonic Home Appliances Company has held this summer festival for local residents since 2008. This year, about 5,000 people took part in this festival. The Panasonic Open exhibited a putting-golf attraction for visitors. Visitors wrote cheering messages on leaf-shaped cards for their favorite golf players whom they want to see playing well in the tournament. They put their message cards on a panel designed as a tree trunk (the tree gradually grows leafy as cards increase). Afterwards, visitors enjoyed playing putting golf in two courses created in imitation of the 1st and 18th holes of BIWAKO COUNTRY CLUB where the Panasonic Open will be held this year. In this attraction, both adults and children played putting golf with excitement, because they could receive the original prizes related to the Panasonic Open according to the number of balls they dropped in the cup. The panel with cheering messages will be placed in the tournament site during the Panasonic Open to cheer for the golfers who play in the tournament and liven up the event.
